Beatrice Duke, age 95 of Cloverport, KY passed away November 18, 2025, at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab. She was born in McQuady, KY on October 27, 1930, daughter of the late John and Ersie Smith Burden. She was a member of Calvary Temple Church of Jesus Christ. Beatrice was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, canning and raising herbs. She was a member of the Breckinridge County Homemakers and would host meetings at her cabin, which was like a scene from “Little House on the Prairie”. She was a former nurse’s aide and a private caregiver. Beatrice enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. She was a very devout lady who loved missionary work. She was a wonderful mother to her eight children and she adored them.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Duke, 4 grandchildren Randall, Daniel and Lori Duke and Cynthia Ann Cain; 5 brothers and sisters Betty Kappell, Clifton Burden, Joe Burden, Robert Burden and Donnie Burden.
Beatrice is survived by 8 children: Rickey Duke (Donna) of Cloverport, KY; Roger Duke of Cloverport, KY; Tony Duke (Theresa) of Dunlap, TN; Jamie Duke (Jennifer) of Hardinsburg, KY; Connie Oaks (Wayne) of Cloverport, KY; Vonna McCarty (Charlie) of Balltown,KY; Twanda Carman (Bruce) of Titusville, FL and Kaelyn Brown (Scott) of Leitchfield, KY
15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the Dukes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, 2-7 PM and Saturday after 8 AM. All times are central.
