Dorothy Earlene Docimo

Dorothy “Earlene” Docimo, 66, passed away on November 29, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on April 25, 1959, Earlene spent her life pouring love, gentleness, and kindness into everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Earlene was the most special mom and “Granny,” with a rare gift for making every person feel valued, seen, and deeply loved. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and faced her homegoing with complete peace and faith, knowing she was stepping into the arms of her Savior.

Her greatest joy was her family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She loved cheering them on at their sports and activities, never missing a chance to be present. To those she loved, Earlene was a soft place to land, always ready with advice, comfort, or simply the warmth of her presence. She also cherished being “Auntie Granny” to her three great-nephews, a role that filled her heart with immense pride and happiness.

Earlene shared 16 years of marriage with her husband, John Docimo. Together, they found a calling in mission work and formed a deep bond with the people of Honduras. Over the years, they made many trips to help build playgrounds for a local school and to feed children in nearby communities. Though separated by miles, a part of Earlene’s heart was always in Honduras.

She was born to Earl and Dorothy Cotton, and is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Raley.

Earlene leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her memory: her husband, John Docimo; her daughters, Lyndsay Gaynor (Jarrod) and Britney Kirtley; her stepchildren, Brad Docimo (Amber), Dave Docimo (Kim), and Jahna Fulkerson (Drew); 12 grandchildren, Mackenzie Gaynor, Aidan Gaynor, Brennen Gaynor, Jacey Conder, Jackson Conder, Oliver Kirtley, Rebekah Docimo, Hannah Docimo, Brayden Docimo, Collin Docimo, Addyson Docimo, Lucas Fulkerson; two siblings, Debra Vickers, Ivan Cotton; several nieces and nephews; and the many friends whose lives she touched with her kindness.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday and from 9:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Earlene’s legacy is one of faith, compassion, and unwavering love. Her greatest desire was to see the people she loved come to know Christ. To honor her life, expressions of sympathy may be shared through donations to Aaron’s Mission (Honduras), P.O. Box 853, Nortonville, KY 42442.
