Joyce Brite Macy, age 83 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away December 9, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on June 9, 1942. She was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church, where she was very involved with church activities. Joyce was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles. She adored her grandchildren and her furry companion Toby.
She is preceded in death by her parents Emmitt Shrader and Alliene Phillips, her husband Leonard Ray Macy, Sr., her son Leonard Ray Macy, Jr. and her sister Maydee Crawford.
Joyce is survived by her children: Bill Macy (Tonya) of Russellville, KY; Sarah Saylor (John) of Mayfield, KY; David Compton (Peggy) of Webster and Carrie Macy.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1 PM with burial in the Dry Valley Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM on Saturday. All times are central.
