Donald Lockhart Riddle

Donald Lockhart Riddle, 93, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at his home. He was born in Maceo on January 10, 1932 to the late Stallard Lockhart Riddle and Addie Bell Baker Riddle. Don was a farmer and a tank mechanic in the U.S. Army. He was the owner and operator of Parkway Market and retired from Big Rivers. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Don enjoyed spending time with family and UK basketball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Rhea “Rusty” Riddle.

He is survived by his children, Joel (Paula) Riddle of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Tim (Wendy) Riddle of Kingston, Tennessee, and Jill (David) Mackey of Owensboro; grandchildren, Matthew Riddle, Sara (David) Grinnell, Whitney (Matthew) Paroline, Josh (Brittani) Riddle, Ben (Leslie) Riddle, Hallie (Thomas) Reid, and Danielle Mackey; great-grandchildren, Harper and Luna Grinnell, and Maddi Rhea Riddle; sister-in-law, Jo (Drex) Stuart; brother-in-law, Dick (Bette) Wahl; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
