
Steven Eugene Lindsey, born August 24, 1964, passed away on January 2, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Mabel Bell Brock of Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Steven attended Henry Clay School, completing his education through the 10th grade. He later made his home in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he built meaningful relationships and lasting friendships.
Steven was truly the life of the party. He had big, bright blue eyes and a smile that was contagious to all, lighting up every room he entered. His vibrant personality, warm spirit, and genuine love for people made everyone feel welcome. He deeply cherished his extended family and friends, finding his greatest joy in laughter, togetherness, and shared moments.
Steven attended the Commonwealth Connections day program, where he spent time with his friends and took great joy in being part of the community. He dearly loved the staff and all of his friends there, who meant so much to him.
Steven was lovingly cared for by Samuel Lindsey of Owensboro, his extended family member and family home provider for 14 years, whose unwavering dedication, compassion, and love were a true blessing in his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Bell Brock, his brother Joe “Jack” Lindsey, and his sister Wanda Carter.
Steven is survived by his brothers George Lindsey and Kelly Brock, and his sisters Gwin French and Cecilia Stanton, along with a large extended family and many dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 5, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
