Irene Hayes Madlem, 92, of Owensboro passed away January 15, 2026. She was born May 10, 1933, to the late Steve and Della (House) Hayes.
Along with her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Madlem; daughter, Pamela Sue Madlem; grandsons, Brannon McKay and Daylin Matthews; great-great-granddaughter, Navy Lynn Purcell; grandson-in-law, David McKay, and her son-in-law, RD Snyder.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ron Madlem of Washington, IN, Scott Madlem of Owensboro, KY, Vickie (Ed) Madlem-Bandy of Owensboro, KY, and Penny Snyder of Fordsville, KY; her grandchildren, Kelly (Eric) Barrow, Stacy (Jason) McKay, Brad Madlem, Courtney (Mike) Frantz, Nikki (Randall) Anderson, Whitney (Josh) Stinnett, and Brittiany Matthews; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother, and one sister.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
