Patricia Ann Sweeney, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1946 in Daviess County to the late Edgar and Mary Fenwick Pryor. Pat was owner of Sew Perfect where she did clothing alterations and repairs for 35 years. She attended Sts. Joe and Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jospeh Pryor, Imogene Brand, Theresa Easton and Louise Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, David Sweeney Sr.; sons, Michael Russ (Rhonda), Bobby Russ (Barbara), David Sweeney Jr., Brian Sweeney (Heather) and Michael Sweeney (Misty); 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Locher; and her fur baby, Abby.
Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Friday, January 23, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery.
