Lois A. Martin, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2025 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. She was born in Olaton, Kentucky on November 30, 1946 to Eugene and Thelma Sapp Martin. She retired from the Daviess County Board of Education.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Martin and Thelma Martin; brother, Clifford Martin; sister, Elsie Harris; daughter-in-law, Janice Payne; and her grandson, Brandon Higdon.
She is survived by her children, Mike Higdon and Connie (Eric) Griffin; grandchildren, Tonya Reney, Mandy Bretz, Chelsea Howard and Morgan Fischer; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Resurrection Cemetery. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
