Karen Denise McKinney, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on January 20, 2026, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky – Heartford House, with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 3, 1957, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the beloved daughter to the late Ernest and Myreta Miller.
Karen enjoyed spending her time watching television and playing card games. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the moments spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Jason McKinney, and siblings, Kimberly Henning and Steven W. Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Katrina (Michael) Harrison; grandchildren, Jaycee and Grayson McKinney; siblings, David (Pam) Miller, Kellye (Denny) Moore, Kevin (Tracy) Miller, Kayla (Lewis) Bodnar and Randy Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
