Sacramento – Jennie Dean Martin, 91 of Sacramento, Ky died Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun, Ky. Mrs. Martin was born September 2, 1934, in Sacramento, Ky. She was a caregiver, but the major part of her day were her stories, She and her sister would get on the phone while watching different channels and tell each other what was happening. Before the final stages of her life at Riverside, she had a special companion, her dog “Blacky” that changed her life. “Blacky” motivated her to get up and out of the house.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Worth and Pearl West; and Her sisters, Josephine Van Diver, Delilah Clark, and Marie Wilkins.
She is survived by her son, Walter (Sally) Martin; granddaughter, Sarah Martin; grandson, Sean Martin; sister, Willie Del (Otis) Bartley; nieces and nephews, Del Ray Lewis, William Wilkins, David Van Diver, Bennie Van Diver, and Patty Woosley.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 12:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, Ky. Burial in Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11AM-12:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
