Thomas Wayne Embry, 76, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Clarksville, IN. He was born on June 4, 1949 to the late Oscar Embry and Sue Castlen Mattingly. Thomas was a United States Air Force veteran serving from 1969 to 1981 and also had worked at the Owensboro Country Club as a ground’s maintenance man.
Thomas was an avid fisherman, often enjoying the peace and quiet at Panther Creek Park. He loved cooking and grilling out for family and friends, and he was a musician who enjoyed all kinds of music.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Menzies and Martha Stinnett, as well as his step-daughter, Amanda Brown.
Survivors include his children, Tyler Embry, Taylor Embry, Bobbie Jo Embry Nelson, Susan Reece, Sharon Embry Tiahrt, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, one nephew, Keith Menzies, and one niece, Christy Stites.
Per Thomas’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
