Billie Jean Rogers, 95, of Owensboro, passed away at home while surrounded by family on Monday, February 9, 2026 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Owensboro, KY to the late Ruth Martine Johnson Stinogel. She loved quilting, helped and volunteered with church meals at Our Lady of Lourdes, was an avid tennis player, great shot with a rifle, and enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords.
In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Rogers Jr.; son, Alan Rogers; daughter, Linda Embry; brother, Robert Stinogel; and sister, Betty Duke.
Survivors include her children, John Rogers III, Bob Rogers (Gaye), Trish Baggerly (Danny), Tom Rogers, Mary Sucin and Donna Jackson (Craig); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday at the church.
