Kerry Lacefield, 45, of Owensboro passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born in Owensboro on September 21, 1980 and raised in her hometown, Kerry was a gifted pastry chef and cake decorator whose creativity brought joy to countless celebrations. Her talent in the kitchen was matched only by the sweetness of her spirit.
Kerry was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Lacefield; and her uncle, Greg Tong.
Survivors include her loving mother, Beth Lacefield; her brother, Casey Lacefield; her sister-in-law, Edie Lacefield; her cherished nieces, Ivy Grace and Linen Lacefield; her beloved companion, Lerry, the best dog ever. She is also survived by loving aunts, Lana Lacefield, Debbie Tong, Sandy Sorrells, Daralyn Hill, JoAnn Hinton, Marty Tong, and Lana Lacefield; and her uncles, Tony Tong, Mike Hinton, Delbert Lacefield, and Gary Lacefield. Kerry deeply valued her extended family and the close bonds that they all shared.
Kerry will be remembered for her warmth, her generous heart, her artistic talent, and the love she poured into everything she created. Her memory will live on in the traditions she started, the recipes she perfected, and the countless lives she sweetened along the way.
Services will be at 12:00pm on Monday, February 16, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00pm until 4:00pm and on Monday from 10:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.
