Johnnie Keelin, 57, of Owensboro, went home to glory on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. The youngest of four, he was born to the late Rachel Ann and John W. Keelin on May 21, 1968.
Johnnie spent most of his life in the flooring and construction business, and loved hot rods, WWE, and a good diner breakfast.
Johnnie was a gentle soul with a mouth like a sailor. Though his life was filled with challenges, he never lost his thoughtfulness and kindness. He loved his family and was friends with everyone he met.
He is survived by his brother, Charlie (Rashel) Keelin; his sisters, Neal Ann Keelin and Mary Ann (Gene) Brown; his nephew, Derek Brown; his nieces, Mara Brown and Ashlyn Keelin; and his great-nephew, Ramsey.
Also left to cherish his memory include his long-time partner, Alysia Wilson, and her family; his “ride or die” Angie Hurd, and her daughter Olivia; and his dear friend, Jimmy Richeson.
The memorial service will be at 4:00 PM, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Private burial will be at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made payable to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
