Mark Anthony Rather, 63, of Powderly passed away at Baptist Health in Madisonville on Tuesday, February 17, 2025. Mark was born on August 14, 1962 in Daviess County to the late Chester Rather and Shirley Ditterline. Mark was an inspector, quality manager and welder at Modern Welding for 25 years. He served in the US Navy. Mark enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his children, Marka Rather and Kayla (Sam) McDuffie; step-children, Tomeka Miller and Raymond Jones; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Brian Rather, Felicia Luttrell, Cara Cooper and Laura Edmonson; his lifetime friend, David Norris and a special great aunt, Charlene.
