Debra Sue Mills, 66, of Whitesville, died on February 23, 2026. Debbie was born on July 27, 1959 in Daviess County to Daniel Eugene Howard and Barbara Sue (Hagan) Howard. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, KY.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Martin Raymond Mills, father-in-law Harold Raymond Mills, mother-in-law, Dorothy Jean Mills, sister-in-law, Judy Roby, brother-in-law, Peter Mills, god-daughter and niece, Kate Hayden and brother-in-law Gary Elverd.

Debbie had a quiet thoughtful spirit who forever changed those around her by her faith, love and gift of gab (or words of wisdom). We were truly blessed by her grace and oh what a beautiful song her life was.

Debbie is survived by her 4 children, Joseph Mills of Whitesville, Jennifer (Andy) Howard of Knottsville, Jeremy (Heather) Mills of Bowling Green and Joshua Mills of Whitesville; 9 grandchildren, Mikayla, Brittney, Haley, Brianne, Zane, Shealyn, Emma, Olivia and Baily; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kobe, Braylynn, Alayah, Daxton, Beckham and Ryder; her parents, Dan and Sue Howard; her siblings, Dan (Anne) Howard, Jeff (Theresa) Howard, Greg (Lisa) Howard, Cyndi (Barry) Isbill, Sheila (Glenn) Calhoun and my Karen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debbie Elverd, Linda (Kenny) Aud, Steve (Pam) Mills, Denny (Donna) Mills, Mike Roby, Rut (Beth) Mills, Jeff Mills and Kevin Mills; godchildren, Melissa Doolin, Tammy Lewis, Brad Aud, David Mills, Samuel Howard, Adaleen Howard and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Our mom expressed her deepest appreciation for Dr. Hodskins and her Queens in the Chemo Palace. Your compassion, care, and friendship meant a great deal and our mom truly loved you.

A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 with burial following at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with prayers 6:30 p.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
