Angela “Ann” Faye (Hillard) Worth, 65, of Owensboro, passed away February 23, 2026, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 20, 1960, to the late Ervin and Elsie (Bowlds) Hillard.
Ann lived wholeheartedly for her grandchildren, who were the center of her universe and the greatest joy of her life. Her love for them was constant, steady, and overflowing. She also held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, loving them fiercely and celebrating each of them with pride. Being a caregiver was her greatest attribute. She devoted much of her life to caring for others, babysitting and lovingly raising her nieces, nephews, and friends’ children until they reached school age—at one point having 23 little ones under her care at the same time. She treasured spending time with her family, and filling her home with warmth and laughter.
Ann was the very best storyteller. She had a gift for turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories. Her stories carried laughter, wisdom, and the kind of comfort only she could give. Through those stories, her love will continue to live on.
Her kindness, her laughter, and her bright presence will be missed beyond measure but cherished forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her light remains in the love she gave, the memories she created, and the family she adored.
Along with her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Owen Worth, and her three brothers, Bobby, Michael and Eugene Hillard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Drew (Sarah) Worth and Derek (mother of his children, Elizabeth) Worth; her grandchildren, Kegan, Parker, Avery, Waylon, and Simon Worth; her siblings, Truby (Tommy) Velotta and Billy (Peggy) Hillard, and her sisters-in-law, Kelly Hillard and Elizabeth (Krestien) Brown.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
