Geraldine Farmer Grimes Johnson, age 85 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away February 27, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Louisville on October 7, 1940, daughter of the late Owen C. and Mary Pearl Franklin Farmer. She was a homemaker who enjoyed singing, fishing, arts and crafts, playing Bingo. She served with The Salvation Army for over 10 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Mary Steinhauser, Kenneth Lee and Owen Carl Farmer and two grandchildren.
Geraldine is survived by 2 children: Jerry Grimes, Jr. (Karen) and Patricia Pile
3 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 1 PM with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Stephensport, KY. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM on Thursday.
