Despite a delay to the start of the season, high school football teams across the state have been scrambling to fill their schedules with up to nine regular-season games. All four local teams managed to work in a full city-county schedule on top of district play.
All four local teams also opted to play the week before the KHSAA State Playoffs, as Nov. 6 is the last Friday of the regular season.
Daviess County, Owensboro and Owensboro Catholic won’t have a bye week this season, while Apollo has an early week off.
