Owensboro’s Georgia Warren was the lone local at the KHSAA State Diving Championship Thursday in Versailles as the 8th-grader finished 13th overall.
Warren finished with 302.85 total points while Cooper’s Peytton Moore took home the title with 429.05.
She said it’s been a difficult year to say the least.
“Overall, I was feeling okay about the meet and I was just ready for it to be over,” she said. “It’s been a long season.”
The Lady Devil averaged 26.77 points per rounds.
With still four years to go, Warren said she has a lot to look forward to as she was also just one of five 8th graders to make it to state.
“Next year i’m looking forward to a normal season I hope,” she said. “I would really like to get higher DD (degree of difficulty) dives.”
