The Apollo football team struggled to get much going Friday night, as the Eagles fell 57-10 at Heritage Hills, the defending 3A champion in Indiana.
Heritage (2-0) got rolling quickly, building up a 29-0 lead by the end of the first quarter that included an 84-yard touchdown pass.
The Eagles (0-2) got a field goal to start the second quarter, but the Patriots continued to pull away and led 50-3 at the half.
Apollo finally reached the end zone in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from JT Edge to Eli Williams.
The Eagles will have another tough test next week when they play at Owensboro Catholic (2-0).
