Hosting Union County, McLean County’s Landry Humphrey scored a hat trick and Lily Miller dished out three assists to power the Lady Cougars to a 6-0 win. Hanna Smith scored two goals and Ameia Neal added a goal, while goalie Haley Louden recorded five saves.
“For the first game of the season, we played well,” McLean County head coach Ricky Humphrey said. “We still have things to work on, but overall, I’m pleased. We were balanced on offense, which is always important.”
