Shooting 309, Daviess County beat Bowling Green by four strokes to win the Barren County Invitational on Saturday. Claire Reynolds finished fourth in the individual shooting 74, while Alexa Salamah (tied for 5th, 75), Briley Billingsley (tied for 11th, 78), and Baylie Billingsley (tied for 16th, 82) rounded out the team’s top four scores. Kennedi Minton shot a personal record of 89, while Ayla Roberts shot 95.
“I am very proud of our performance today,” Daviess County Head Coach Jonas Billingsley said. “Our team score of 309 is a team record for my coaching tenure. Claire, Alexa, Briley, Baylie, and Kennedi all posted great scores today. It was a great team win and score we have been searching for. We know this team is capable of posting a 300-310. I am glad to see their work and time show on the scorecard.”
