Owensboro beat Louisville Male to stay undefeated, while Daviess County drew with Ohio County.

Daviess County 2, Ohio County 2

The Panthers scored twice in less than two minutes, but were unable to close it out, drawing with Ohio County 2-2. In the 57th minute, Gabe Sandefur found Silas Goebel, and a minute later, Saw Mu scored off a pass from Sandefur. Noah Mason played the entire game in net, recording six saves, including a penalty shot.

“With two more key players out injured and playing two games again in one day, I thought we played well and controlled the game,” Daviess County Head Coach Dale Armistead said. “But we did a poor job finishing chances, and we failed to close out the game. Credit to Ohio County for battling the entire 80 minutes.”

Owensboro 5, Louisville Male 1

Peter Mbayo and Denis Juma both scored twice and had an assist in the Red Devils 5-1 win over Male. Jackson Sigler also scored, while Connor Cundiff and Dax Garrison both tallied assists.

“We played an excellent first half, going up 4-0,” Owensboro Head Coach Ryan Haley said. “I think we kind of dropped our play a bit in the second half with a comfortable lead. Overall, we are happy with the performance and to be able to remain undefeated this far into the season.”
