Trinity (Whitesville) went 2-0 in the KCAC Tournament, while Daviess County dropped a tight game to ABC Prep in the Grind Session.

ABC Prep 75, Daviess County 69

Playing in the Grind Session, the Panthers fell just short, losing to ABC prep 75-69. Jonathan Moss led the way for the Panthers with 30 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while DeAaron Watkins recorded a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Acton was third on the team in scoring with 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

“I thought we competed against a strong national prep team,” Daviess County Head Coach Neil Hayden said. “It’s disappointing not to finish the game with a win, but we want to play high-level teams to prepare for the season.”

Trinity (Whitesville) starts KCAC Tournament 2-0

Competing in the KCAC Tournament, the Raiders finished Friday evening 2-0, beating Whitefield Academy 58-51 and Cornerstone Christian Academy 61-34. Ian Roby led the way in both games, scoring 15 points against Whitefield and 23 against Cornerstone. Harrison Barnett scored in double digits in both games, recording 14 against Whitefield and 17 against Cornerstone.

“We shot the ball well in both games, and both games gave us two different tests,” Trinity (Whitesville) Head Coach Nathan West said. “We handled some adversity with foul trouble, and we had to handle pressure with a lead in the second. We have had very balanced scoring through three games.
