Hosting the KDCO Regionals, Apollo put on a flawless performance, winning Varsity Hip Hop, Varsity Game Day, and JV Hip Hop. They also won the Choreography award and were named Grand Champions.
“We are a super blessed team with amazing dancers,” Apollo Head Coach Taiwanna Tutt said. “We also have great coaches. Today was just a check marked off our list, and tomorrow we start all over.”
Today, Apollo will be competing at the KHSAA State Championship.
“We have prepared and practiced. The only thing left to do is go and execute,” Tutt said. “Tomorrow, we don’t just fight for a victory, we shoot for a score. We are a team that continues to break the records we set for ourselves. Win or lose, I have no doubt we will achieve that goal again.”
