The Aces took down Owensboro, and McLean County came from behind to win on the road. In other action, Trinity (Whitesville) dropped a close game to Edmonson County.

McLean County 62, Breckinridge County 61

Trailing 52-40 in the third quarter, the Cougars stormed back, before hitting the game-winning shot with 1.2 second left to stun Breckinridge County 62-61. Layden Bozarth led the way with 18 points, and Camden Baird added 15 points. Jaelin Groves scored 10 points and grabbed nine boards.

Owensboro Catholic 68, Owensboro 35

Dre’Mail Carothers scored eight of his game-high 14 points in the first half and Jake Murphy added 13 points to power the Aces past Owensboro 68-35. Solly Smith hit a pair of threes to go along with his 10 points, and Myles Grant recorded nine points.

For the Red Devils, DaMarcus Ganaway Jr. led the way with nine points, and Zayden Baker, Jamil Waddy, and Kade Arnold all added six points.

Edmonson County 76, Trinity (Whitesville) 71

Grant Howard hit five threes to go along with his team-high 22 points, and Ian Roby dropped 18 points in the Raiders’ 76-71 heartbreaking loss to Edmonson County. Harrison Barnett scored six of his 16 points in the second quarter, and Cale Boarman added 10 points.

“I was really proud of the way we played tonight,” Trinity (Whitesville) Head Coach Nathan West said. “Last year we did not handle their physicality very well, and I felt like we matched it tonight.”
