Trinity (Whitesville) had no answer early on for Grayson County’s three-point offense, allowing five triples and finding themselves in a 27-9 hole. Despite Cale Boarman and Harrison Barnett both scoring 20 points, the Raiders were unable to overcome their early deficit, falling to the Cougars 85-67 in the 12th District Championship.

Grant Howard was third on the Raiders with 13 points, Ian Roby scored seven points, and Mason Smith and Thomas Payne combined for seven points.

“We gave them too much of a lead in the first quarter, and too many of those shots were from three,” Trintiy (Whitesville) Head Coach Nathan West said. “After that, however, we battled, and I am proud of the way we continued to fight.”

Despite the loss, the Raiders return to action next week for the 3rd Region Tournament.
